Conscious Shadow

MARCH 2014 - LOLO & NN
Most of the science that we explore is propelled and built on one singular discovery. That discovery is this - Some form of human consciousness exists inside the human shadow.
On a stormy evening in Murphys in the winter of 2013, LoLo and I enjoyed what our shortwave radio gave us. We were discouraged after another failed project and this was our pick-me-up. We attempted to start many experimental scientific projects as a hobby. Due to our lack of education in science, our attempts of creating anything viable were extremely limited. Discouraged after another failed attempt, here we were. At some point between the shifting frequencies, we noticed a fairly strong drift in our channels. It moved through the numbers as if we were moving the dial. LoLo and I were fascinated by the level of travel, but it stopped. It landed on a number we will not state for safety purposes, but that number had a negative sign in front of it. This was odd for obvious reasons. The fuzzy broadcast we heard went on for 6 hours, and we didn’t move a muscle. The broadcaster had a voice that reminded us of my very own, just grittier and slower paced. He spoke of a phenomenon at some faraway island called “The Immortal Furnace”. A cave with an ancient furnace with green flames that let off atomic particles that would connect with those standing near and then begin to create the person’s form in the flame. This event was the beginning of a new science that surpassed Newtonian Physics; it was called Enth. Those who practiced it were called Enthieatorologist. This science used 20% of the physical laws paired with 80% of one’s will and imaginative creation of what existed between two objects or reality. When the station went off, and the radio jumped back to its usual positive numbers, Lolo and I sat there shocked and in silence. One thing we knew in our hearts from this day forward, We were Enthieatorologist. And so we hoped and believed that the station would come on to inform us of more and more. How did it work? How could we do it? Could we? And we did. We got really good at it through processes that may or may not be discussed someday. Flying papers, floating couches, pillows that transformed into squirrels were a few of our manifested discoveries.
One day while I stood in the kitchen after playing a show, Lolo walked up to my shadow and stared at it. She took her nail and with one big strike, scratched it! The pain was so sharp I fell to my knees! With watery eyes, I smiled. “You’ve got to be kidding me” I said. Was Lolo using Enth to do this? It seemed so sporadic, like a question. Did it even matter? If we were doing all of these phenomenal acts through ways of Enth, isn’t that just the objective reality we live in?
Lolo and I explored manipulating and affecting each other’s shadows beyond our ability to recall. One day, it all went further. We realized that all of our exploration was taking place in the confines of our home and was worthy of a more objective study. Lolo and I constructed an assignment to test the objectiveness of what we were doing. I had a really big show at Ironstone Vineyards planned, and we figured this would be a perfect place to test our work and its validity. The assignment was simple.
1`. Find a person
2.Tickle the neck on their shadow and see what happens.
After playing and singing my heart out to an unengaged audience, the host politely asked if they could use my microphone to make an announcement in the middle of my song. I always loved it when people caught me in the middle of singing to announce the newest wine of the season. That’s besides the point. As they spoke and I wound down my singing, I noticed something. Their shadow strongly lay right at my feet. Without hesitation, I reached down with my index finger and gently brushed the neck of their shadow. Amidst talking of what barrels the wine lived in, they giggled like a happy little child. The audience laughed, and the host looked at me fairly puzzled. I shrugged. When I returned home that night, I told LoLo about it all. Our journey began. The Shadow Caster was our first invention. I will tell you more about that very soon.
